The Most Difficult Dining Reservations to Score at Disney World

Planning your Walt Disney World vacation and thinking about all the tasty food you want to eat?? There are SO MANY wonderful places to dine at Disney World that it can be hard to choose! You can begin making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR’s) 60 days in advance. Pro Tip! If you stay at a Disney Resort then you can make ALL your dining reservations on the same day, 60 days before your check-in day (up to 10 days). This is a big perk when dining reservations at certain restaurants can book up in a matter of minutes once released!

Wondering which Disney World restaurants book up the fastest? Check out our list below!

Cinderella's Royal Table

It’s no surprise the fancy restaurant located inside Cinderella Castle is one of the hardest dining reservations to acquire at Disney World. Meals here do not come cheap, starting at $42 per adult ($27 per kid) for breakfast and $62 per adult ($37 per kid) for dinner. You are not just paying for food here, but for the experience. Dining inside the castle is a truly unique and special event your entire family will be sure to remember.

Breakfast at Topolino's Terrace

Located at the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort, Topolino’s Terrace provides beautiful views of the outside while also offering character entertainment and dining on the inside. Breakfast here has quickly become a fan favorite in large part because of the adorable character costumes (meet Poet Minnie, Painter Mickey, Ballerina Daisy, and Sculptor Donald) and the delicious food. Note: characters are only present for breakfast.

Chef Mickey's

The most iconic character dining restaurant in all of Disney World located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Chef Mickey’s serves family style breakfast and dinner while you are entertained by Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto in their best chef attire. The food is not the highlight here, but you are sure to enjoy some one on one time with each member of The Fab Five.

Dinner at Story Book Dining at Artist Pointe

If you or your children are Snow White fans then this meal should not be missed! You will meet Snow White, several dwarfs, and the Evil Queen. You can only book this dining experience for dinner, which contributes to making this a more difficult dining reservation to score. Located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and only a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom makes Artist Pointe a great addition to your dining line-up if you can snag it!

Space 220

Disney newbies and veterans alike are excited to try the new expansion of the Mission: SPACE Pavilion making Space 220 an incredibly difficult reservation to land. Open for lunch and dinner, you will receive a prix-fixe meal that is out of this world, all while enjoying day and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up. The Space 220 Lounge also takes advanced dining reservations, but these reservations go quick, too!

Be Our Guest

Who doesn't want to dine inside the castle of one of the most iconic Disney stories ever? The Beast's castle makes for the most idyllic dining backdrop as you enjoy your feast. Another pricey meal, but incredibly worth it for the unforgettable dining experience. Choose from one of three rooms: The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing (where you might just spy the famous enchanted rose), or Belle's private library. Each room is stunning and unique, you really cannot go wrong! Note: The Beast appears at dinner, but is not guaranteed at this time (Aug 2022).

Fireworks Parties

Not a restaurant, but fireworks dessert parties become available at the same time as advanced dining reservations (60 days out), and can be incredibly difficult to score. Magic Kingdom's Enchantment has several different dessert party offerings:

  • Treats and Seats offers dessert and drinks while you watch Enchantment from a seated and special viewing area at Tomorrowland Terrace.

  • The Fireworks Pre-Party offers dessert and drinks before the fireworks, and then when it is time for the show you are escorted to a special viewing spot at the Garden Plaza (standing only).

  • The Fireworks After-Party allows you to take in Disney’s Enchantment from the Garden Plaza (standing only) viewing area and then enjoy desserts and drinks following the show.

  • Celebration at the Top is similar to the other Magic Kingdom dessert parties, but located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and not inside the theme park. You will enjoy small plates, drinks, and a great view of the fireworks.

Honorable Mentions: Dinner at ‘Ohana, California Grill, Oga’s Cantina, Tusker House, and Sci-Fi Dine in Theater

Disney World dining can be challenging to navigate, but oh so worth it when every restaurant offers a unique dining experience unlike anywhere else. If you find yourself overwhelmed at the prospect of attempting to secure one or more of these hard to get reservations, we highly recommend working with a travel agent specializing in Disney. Not only can a travel agent take care of your dining reservations for you, but they also continue monitoring and searching for those seemingly impossible reservations that may have initially been unavailable.
